Increasing prescription medication refills is a chief concern for retail pharmacies. As profit margins from drugs decline and the need to drive front-end product sales increases, pharmacies must improve persistence in order to increase revenue from back to front of store.

CVS, UnitedHealthcare, and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center approached Frame Health to investigate the impact of personalized communications on motivating patients. Specifically, they were interested in encouraging patient sign-ups for a medication adherence program, as well as increasing the efficiency of pharmacist call time.
